Er stroomt water in Diffa!

The wet season in Cameroon is from April/May to November. There is heavy rainfall and roads are frequently impassable. However, this didn’t stop the people in Diffa. They kept on being dedicated to the construction of the water system.
During the digging process of the slots for the pipes they ran in to a lot of tree roots. It was definitely not an easy job to be working on the rugged landscape with the rough weather. Everyone still was motivated to work though. Because of the dedication of the community, the project leader and the village counsel and their hard work we are proud to tell all of you: there is running water in Diffa!
We, of course, want to share this with you. The community of Diffa is really happy with their running, clean water. This means they don’t have to spend a whole day to get clean water.
At this moment the last  tasks of the construction process are being concluded. In the next report the whole workprocess will be highlighted.

LiveBuild, Earth & Mocca d’Or present: the Cameroon Kumbo

Do you remember Tim and Martijn from team Coffee moving 1200 kilograms green coffee beans to the Moccca d’Or warehouse in the summer? Not without result, because in early November we launched the new specialty coffee from Mocca d’Or: the Cameroon Kumbo
We paid a higher price to the coffee corporation Bafcoop, which includes our farmers, just like we do for the LiveBuild coffee. Only now instead of the coffee lab in Breukelen the beans are roasted by Mocca D’or in Zwolle. Mocca d’Or will make the coffee available to shops that are already selling Mocca d’Or coffee.
Owners of cake shops and specialty coffee shops came to Zwolle, Monday November 6th, to taste the new coffee. We were present to explain everything about the coffee: how the berries are grown, how the coffee corporation Bafcoop works and what our dreams are for the coffee sector in Cameroon.
The guests, in turn, passionately told everyone about the coffee in their shops and what they do with it. From chocolate makers to a nut specialty shop, everything came to pass. So much fun to see the same passion we have for coffee in the owners and their specialty.
